Loop

How a healthy cove grows

Full writeup on the gameplay page. Short loop below.

01

Plant the first camp

Place a Pirate Camp near flat pockets and fresh water when you can. House drifters before you assign every pirate to a job.

02

Shorten food and plank routes

Link campfires or kitchens to galleys, and wood cutters to sawmills, with short green connections. Red routes waste labor.

03

Claim Deeds, spend Compass points

Finish early Deeds for Principle Points. Unlock ziplines, masts, or elevators before you sprawl across every cliff.

04

Build a pier and a first hull

Stock planks and rope, crew a starter ship, then sail for salvage and map events that home island nodes cannot supply.

05

Specialize your Compass

Pick two paths that share a Tier 2 ship you want. Spread points too thin and every hull stays locked longer.

Checklist

First session checklist

Pause while you plan

Speed keys and pause exist for a reason. Stop the clock when you place camps, warehouses, or new cliffsides.

Keep a drifter reserve

Drifters build structures. If you assign every body to production, construction stalls.

Watch production versus use

Hover resources in the top bar. Fix negative flow before stockpiles hit empty.

Unlock vertical transport early

Ziplines, masts, winches, and elevators cut cliff travel that would otherwise idle workshops.

Retire the starter hull on time

Landlubber teaches combat cards. Swap to Moonlight or a matching Tier 2 hull before harder Crown fights.
